Chapter 5: Where Did I Go Right?
It was in the middle of Spring Break; Cody was having a great time with his cousin. Nothing could make it any better, right? That would be a big NO! Sam was on his mind, again. The only thing to make a perfect spring break was to ask her out; the girl of his dreams. The only problem was Michelle Uley. What if she got in their relationship? What if he still loves her? He had a feeling that he loved Sam, not Michelle, but still those thoughts plagued his mind. His phone vibrated, he looked at it. It was a text from Miley asking him to come home for a little bit to help her practice.
That wasn’t so bad; he would help his 1st cousin. He left a note to tell Danny that he would be back, and then he ran off to the train station. He didn’t know that Sam was on the trail, following him. She couldn’t help it; she was in love with him. He had everything she wanted in a guy, but one thing that stopped her from confessing her love. He was a werewolf, and she was a normal human girl. She was afraid that he wouldn’t love her, that he loved Michelle that she was a werewolf; she was way wrong. She couldn’t stay away from him though, that scent was sweet to her. The werewolf scent was so sweet, so nice, so pleasing to her nose that she couldn’t stay away from him.
The train to California was getting ready to leave. A few more minutes and it would leave the train station. Cody was about 20 feet away from the train station. Sam was on his mind, and he tired to push that back. He didn’t want to leave, but he knew he had to. Miley was counting on his help, and that was his drive. He had to get to the train before it left. Sam beat him to the train station and sat on a bench. She wanted to say goodbye so bad, but at the same time, she didn’t want him to leave. What if he never comes back she thought. No, he couldn’t leave. She paid the train driver 50 bucks to send the train when he got there. She wasn’t going to lose anyone else; she didn’t want anybody else to leave her. He got to the train station and the train took off.
Cody watched the train as it left, he sighed a bit.
"Miley will kill me." He responded, but he then realized. He didn't want to go back. They'd probably try to convince him to stay, and he didn't want that. He loved staying in Amity Park with Danny. It was probably the best thing, no...Sam was the best thing. He was her perfect girl, but the problem he thought was that she would never know.
"She'll understand." A voice came out; the gothic girl was there, sitting on the bench. It confused him a whole lot. Did she read the letter or was she following him? Who cares now, she was here, and that's all that matter to him. Sam; his perfect girl; sitting on the bench, staring at him. That was the best moment in his life. And at that time, he wanted so much to kiss her, to hold her, and to touch her. Just once, he would want to fall in love with a normal girl. And then, he walked over to her.
“I didn’t want you to leave. What if you never came back?” Sam asked.
“I would have, if you wanted me to.” Cody responded. Sam smiled and blushed a bit; he was still very clueless about that.
“That’s the best thing that anyone has said to me.” Sam responded taking his hands. He felt the touch, it was so soft, just like he imagined. All his life, just to fall in love with a human being that didn’t have fur. It was the greatest feeling ever. Sam leaned in and he leaned in as well and their lips touched each other’s; soft. And then; passion, love, happiness, every good emotion and feeling went into that kiss.
It was a few minutes before they pulled off of each other. Cody let a soft smile appear on his lips. Sam was blushing bright, and her hands were rubbing affectionately on his arms. It was the best moment in their lives, and not the last either.
